As Confucius said: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”
Wednesday, 18th June saw our Primary Five, Six and Seven students, alongside their teachers and SEN Classroom Assistants, travel to the Airtastic Entertainment Complex, Craigavon for a day of fun, friendship, activity and participation, as we celebrated the conclusion of our successful school year 2024/2025.
And if Confucius had developing and strengthening friendships, further bonding with classmates and school staff, creating valuable learning experiences away from the classroom, and making special school memories in mind, when he shared those famous words, then we hope that every one of our students who travelled, will hold precious and positive memories of a wonderful day.
Our students had a ball in the ten pin Bowling alley, where fun, friendly competition and challenging friends to see who had the winning strike, were surely to the fore! And a proper gravity-defying adventure awaited our girls and boys in the Trampoline and Soft Play Centre, with lots of physical challenges, fantastic activities and various playing zones to conquer and enjoy! Of course, our lovely shared meal, together, and most important visit to the shop on our homeward journey, rounded off a special experience and end-of-year trip.
We pay a special word of tribute to every single student for your exemplary behaviour throughout, and the respect and kindness shared with peers and friends, school staff, Airtastic staff and our bus drivers, at all times. You are really a credit to your parents, families, school and community. May you hold fun and lasting memories as you celebrate your achievements and look forward to the summer break. Thank you to all members of our school staff who accompanied our students, to Sharna and her colleagues at Airtastic, and to our bus drivers Michael and Liam who ensured a safe and comfortable journey for all. May all of our students, staff and families have a restful, peaceful and safe summer break.
