St Mary’s runners set the pace at Necarne
We are incredibly proud of our pupils who recently took part in the Flahavan’s Athletics NI Primary Schools Cross Country League. The children showed remarkable determination and team spirit, as they faced a challenging course and damp weather conditions. Despite the wind, mud, and cold, every runner gave their very best effort — showing great resilience, perseverance, and enthusiasm throughout. Their positive attitude and support for one another truly captured the spirit of our school. We would like to congratulate all our runners on their fantastic performances and extend a sincere thank you, to our teachers and families, for their continued encouragement and support.
A special mention to Clodagh and Connor in Primary 6, who came placed first, from the St Mary’s cohort of runners in the Fun Run.
In the team race, a special mention must also go to Lucy and Odhran in Primary 7, who came first in their respective St Mary’s teams.
We now look forward to the next stage of the Flahavan’s Cross Country League, where we are sure, our pupils will once again do us proud.
